 You've landed at the official home of the Hot Licks BluesFest, an annual free blues concert that takes place in Granville, Ohio.
The 2008 Hot Licks BluesFest, organized by the Granville Federation for the Appreciation of the Blues, will take place in downtown Granville, Ohio, on September 20, 2008.
The BluesFest, which is in its ninth year, is a free event organized by the Granville Federation for the Appreciation of the Blues. Donations from sponsors, which range from local corporations to blues-loving individuals, help offset some of the costs of putting on the event, which annually brings blues musicians from near and far to play. East Broadway between Main and Prospect streets is closed to traffic, with a stage set up at the west end and a beer tent at the east end. In between, there’s plenty of room to set up lawn chairs, and even to dance. It’s a family-friendly event that draws thousands. Each year, GFAB designates a local, grassroots organization as the beneficiary of funds raised from sales of food, drink, and T-shirts. Food vendors contribute a portion of their sales to this year’s beneficiaries.
